Sergei Kravinoff, better known as Kraven the Hunter, is a minor antagonist in the 2002 action-adventure superhero video game Spider-Man, an adaptation of the eponymous superhero film, and its 2007 threequel Spider-Man 3, an adaptation of the eponymous superhero film. serving as the secondary antagonist of the Lizard's Chapter

He is a sadistic hunter who is hired by Norman Osborn to hunt down Spider-Man, later, he attempts to hunt The Lizard and Spider-Man again.

He was voiced by Peter Lurie (who also voiced Vulcan Raven in Metal Gear Solid, Kidomaru in Naruto, Paxton Fettel in F.E.A.R., Sabretooth in Wolverine and the X-Men, Green Goblin in Ultimate Spider-Man, Calares in Code Geass, and Nosferatu Zodd in Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage) in Spider-Man and by Neil Kaplan (who also voiced Madara Uchiha in Naruto Shippuden, Zommari Rureaux in Bleach, Dozle Zabi in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin, Theo Magath in Attack on Titan, Darth Bandon in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Emperor Zarkon in Voltron: Legendary Defender, Diabolico in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and Gluto in Power Rangers Time Force) in Spider-Man 3.

He is first heard talking to Norman Osborn on the phone; Norman asks him if he will hunt Spider-Man; Kraven agrees but tells Norman to keep his money because, to him, the thrill of the hunt will be compensation enough. He is seen on top of the Zoo, lighting a match, then lights up a Spider-Symbol to get Spider-Man's atttention; he sets up booby traps for Spider-Man when Spider-Man gets to the Zoo, Kraven introduces himself to Spider-Man, and tells him that they will begin the contest of strength. The room begins to be filled with poison gas, Spider-Man is drugged by it, Spider-Man gets through some booby traps, and Kraven tries to kill Spider-Man with a sniper, but Spider-Man manages to avoid it. Kraven tells Spider-Man that if he wants the antidote to cure the poison, he will have to come to him. When Spider-Man gets through more of Kraven's traps, he eventually gets to Kraven's arena, which has flames on the walls with the shape of spiders and electricity to block the sky to trap Spider-Man, even a snake pit. Spider-Man and Kraven then fight; during the fight, Kraven drinks potions to enhance his strength; even with that, Spider-Man defeats Kraven, and Kraven honorably gives Spider-Man the potion to cure him. Spider-Man asks Kraven who put him up to this; Kraven tells Spider-Man that he did what he did for the challenge of it, and Spider-Man then webs up Kraven to leave him for the police.

After Kraven got out of jail, he is first seen on top of the rooftop talking to Calypso that Spider-Man is somewhere in this city. Calypso then tells him that the next time he meets Spider-Man, he will destroy him, but now Kraven will focus on the reason he came to the city, to kill the lizards as his greatest trophy so that his name will live in glory forever. Kraven then stabs the newspaper and says that the hunt begins. Kraven then goes to the sewers, massacring tons of lizards, Black-Suited Spider-Man follows him, Kraven then rises the acid water to kill Spider-Man, Spider-Man manages to get to the top though. Kraven after killing more lizards, finds The Lizard himself, then defeats him, he's disappointed by how easy he was, he prepares to finish him off, Spider-Man then saves The Lizard, then tells him that he will give Kraven more of a fight. Lizard then smacks Kraven away with his tail, then runs off, Calypso then chases him, Kraven then challenges Spider-Man to a duel. Spider-Man is much more powerful than before, but Kraven still manages to put up a good fight.

During the fight, he reveals he has more tricks up his sleeve, having the ability to clone himself, even using three potions which turn him into a bear, an eagle, and a black panther, even with his enhanced strength, Spider-Man still defeats Kraven. Kraven then performs traps on Spider-Man but Spider-Man avoided them, Kraven then disappears, then went into another room, Kraven then turns back into a black panther and this time, turn invisible, he is only visible when Spider-Man gets close, Kraven tells Spider-Man that his invisibility is a gift from Calypso, Spider-Man and Kraven fight, Kraven nearly stabs Spider-Man with his knife, but Spider-Man manages to block it, Spider-Man yells out for Dr. Connors, he hears what Calypso is doing to him. Spider-Man asks Kraven what is happening to him, Kraven realizes that Calypso found the Lizard, then disappears, then tells Spider-Man to see for himself on what is happening to Lizard, Kraven is not seen again after this.

It's unknown why Kraven is not in the PC/PS2/GameCube versions of the first game, it's possible that it is because the Xbox has more power than the others.
Even though Kraven gets away in the PS3/Xbox 360/PC versions of Spider-Man 3, he does actually get defeated in the PS2/Wii/PSP versions of the game. In the PS2/Wii/PSP versions, Spider-Man webs Kraven's sword to his hand, knocks him in a corner, grabs a sewer floor grate, and throws it towards the corner, trapping him and leaving him for the police.

Coincidentally, Kraven the Hunter in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 would also hunt The Lizard and turn him into a Mega Lizard.

Now I bring you the greatest hunter of all time, the one who made Spidey the angriest. Ladies and gentlemen, the greatest hunter of all time and species? Kraven the Hunter. This guy has given Spider-Man more than a few headaches, and you can see for yourselves.
