Wow man, honestly this looks so good!
Frankly speaking yes, it kinda looks cursed without the eyes and mouth, because that's how we're seeing Mater all these years! 
But it still looks so good even in normal version, I will download this mod for sure and will give it a try someday in the future, as seeing a Normal Mater is like a old dream finally comes true!
10/10 for the amazing work!
